Covid, Belgium and Luxembourg relax rules!
We are witnessing a gradual relaxation of anti-covid rules throughout Europe. Important steps forward towards a "peaceful" coexistence with the virus are also announced in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Covid, discos reopen in Belgium
From the United States to Europe, anti-covid measures are gradually loosening with the start of a new phase of coexistence with the virus.
If in Europe the United Kingdom was the forerunner of the loosening of the rules, the aim is everywhere for a gradual return to "normality". In the face of the decrease in infections of the Omicron variant, Belgium has announced a relaxation of anti-covid restrictions. Just as in Italy the discos have reopened to the public (albeit with all the limitations of the case), starting from Friday 18 February also dancing will be back in Belgium.
Thanks from the Prime Minister
The restrictions on closing times and the number of people at tables in bars and restaurants are also lifted. As well as there will no longer be ceilings for participants for outdoor events such as weddings or concerts, for example.
"I would like to thank all Belgians, without exception, for the efforts we have made together," said Prime Minister Alexander De Croo
Among other measures, children under 12 will no longer have to wear a mask at school and smart working 4 days a week will no longer be mandatory, but only recommended.
